The Shack Movie : Focus on the LIGHT
Several days ago I watched The Shack, it is a Christian movie, I think this movie is quite different from other Christian movies that I have watched; it is deep and quite heavy, why? Because the main theme of this movie is Trinity, Life - Evil & Good, Justice & Injustice. If you are interested in those kind of themes, you should watch The Shack.
Well but here I just wanna focus on one scene in this movie, you can watch first the video below :
In this scene At first the main actor was rowing the boat alone, after he reached in the middle of the lake he stopped rowing. The situation was calm, the skies were bright and everything was okay. In silence he started to reflect upon his past and remember his dark past, mainly his deepest wound, which he remembered the day his daughter was killed by a stranger, when he had family vacation several months ago. He still could not forgive his mistake, that left his daughter alone and made her got kidnapped and murdered by a stranger.
Suddenly, the bright skies changed gloomy; the clear water turned into dark; he began to DROWN. The more he focused on his wounds, the deeper the boat got drowned.
He drowned in his deepest pain, thought and guilt; he sank into his depression, alone.
And this is my FAVORITE PART 😝 JESUS stepped and walked on the water towards to his sinking boat and saying
"LOOK AT ME, FOCUS ON ME"
And the dark situation turning bright and everything turning NORMAL.

Okay, this scene makes me ponder upon how many times our own prejudice kill us?
We focus on the dark instead of the LIGHT.
We look deeper at problems instead look deeper at JESUS.
We drown in our guilt instead of drowning in HIS GRACE.
May His unfailing love enable us to live faithfully & joyfully in Him.
(Matthew 11:28-30) ”Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
